Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to everything you run on or do with Polyer: the website at https://polyer.io, the console, the API, and every application, database, volume, bucket, domain and network endpoint you create (the "Services") provided by Polyer ("Polyer", "we" or "us"). This Policy is part of the Terms of Service. We may update it by publishing a new version on this page.
What you may not do
You may not use the Services, or help or allow anyone else to use them:
- Illegal or harmful activity. To break the law, to exploit or harm minors, or to promote terrorism, violent extremism or human trafficking. Child sexual abuse material is never permitted and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Harassment. To create or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, or content used to harass, threaten or intimidate anyone.
- Fraud and deception. For phishing, social engineering, payment or card fraud, impersonating people or organizations, misrepresenting an affiliation, or running fraudulent schemes such as Ponzi, pyramid or advance-fee schemes.
- Infringement. To host or distribute pirated software, media or other material without authorization from the rights holder, or to otherwise infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Attacks and malware. To gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts or data; to scan networks or probe for vulnerabilities without the owner's permission; to distribute malware; to run attack infrastructure such as DDoS tools, botnets or command-and-control servers; or to spoof network or email identities.
- Spam. To send unsolicited bulk messages through any channel, including email, SMS and messaging apps.
- Platform abuse. To mine cryptocurrency; to run torrent clients or trackers; to operate open proxies, VPN exit nodes or anonymization services for third parties; to resell raw compute, storage or bandwidth; to run bots or scrapers that violate other sites' terms; or to create multiple accounts, misuse trial credits, or otherwise evade usage, spending or billing limits.
- Interfering with Polyer. To disrupt or overload the Services, other customers' workloads or our network; to bypass isolation, quotas or security controls; or to access parts of the Services you are not authorized to use. Security research is welcome, but contact us at help@polyer.io before testing and only test resources in your own account.
You are responsible for activity in your workspaces, including activity by your applications' own users. If you host user-generated content, you need reasonable measures to prevent and remove content that violates this Policy.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove or disable access to any content or resource, suspend services, or suspend or close accounts that violate this Policy. Where it is practical and safe, we will tell you what we found and give you a chance to fix it first. We may act immediately, without prior notice, when a violation is severe, causes harm to others, threatens the security or stability of the Services, or exposes us to legal liability. When deciding, we may consider your willingness and ability to comply, including the measures you have in place to prevent and remove prohibited content or activity.
If we act on your content or account, we will explain why, unless the law prevents it. You can reply to that notice at help@polyer.io if you believe we made a mistake.
Reporting abuse
To report a violation, illegal content or infringement, email help@polyer.io with the affected URL or resource, a description of the problem, and how we can contact you. See the Terms of Service for what to include in a copyright or illegal-content notice.
If you are unsure whether your use case is allowed, ask us before you deploy it.
