Choose WordPress with MariaDB or MySQL to create the site and its database together. Use the database-free variant when you already have a compatible database, then configure its connection. All three store site files at /var/www/html; the bundled databases use a separate volume at /var/lib/mysql. Plan backups and recovery for both files and database records.
